2011 was a big year for the choir. Our first event was the annual  Choral@Montsalvat. This was followed by our second concert held at Wandin North Public Hall in June when we performed to a capacity audience, singing popular songs from musical comedy and light opera as well as unaccompanied African chants and folk songs, etc.

In November we joined with the Maroondah Symphony Orchestra, the Diamond Valley Singers and Singularity for a Choral Concert at Yarra Valley Grammar School which included Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 2 (Hymn of Praise), the inspirational Honour the Earth by Sarah Hopkins and Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols. Christmas carols were sung at the RACV Country Club and several nursing homes.

PAST HIGHLIGHTS
In 2010 we joined with the Diamond Valley Singers to give 4 moving performances of Handel’s  Messiah and were thrilled with the standing ovation.
In 2008 we performed Mozart’s Requiem Mass, Dvorak’s Te Deum and Haydn’ s  Te Deum with the Diamond Valley Singers and the Preston Symphony Orchestra.
2007 saw performances of Carmina Burana with other choirs and 3 performances of Faure’s Requiem with the Preston Symphony Orchestra.

CHOIR ATTIRE
